It’s quite fragmented which makes it hard
to interpret but I like the idea of art as a manifestation of some sort of
emotional content, not intellectual, not aesthetic, not metaphysical, but not
stupid. Like how empathy and love are kind of the essence of humanity and
morality but emotional intelligence is still dismissed as female and
irrational. And subtle compassion rather than exaggerated sentimentality or
melodrama. I’m not entirely sure how it all fits together; this
emotional/compassionate side plus the body, the institution, memory,
purgation/ablution, social/collectivity, conforming/individuality,
expression/utility, etc. and all the other things that come into it, but I
guess it’ll become more clear when you develop a more structured
continuity.
