I am fascinated by how societies are made up of distinct groups and, in particular, the position of minorities within a dominant culture.

A minority is defined as a sociological group that may include any mass in terms of social status, education, employment, wealth and political power. In general, I believe that people prefer not to be classified as belonging to a minority because, as a result, they can be perceived as weak. I am interested in this theme because I often feel myself as belonging to a minority, whether this be with regards to education, social status, ethnicity, language, nationality, religion or culture. In order to depict minorities I decided to create miniature representations of their character - miniature dolls using cotton.

Mostly I create cotton dolls for showing senses such as a life of the homeless, disable people. or failures. Their suffering life is depicted with humor and my works are filled with the hope of giving new meaning to the minority’s new life.
